Fantastic for making silk paper, these cocoons strippings contain about 25% sericin.
Spread them on baking parchment (either on their own or mixed with silk threads or bits of cocoon), spray them lightly with water to activate the sericin, cover them with another sheet of baking parchment and iron. No glue needed, as the sericin binds the fibres together.
The paper can be embroidered, made into book covers or used for making greeting cards.
